I think this must be James Alexander, son of James Alexander who once lived at Berry Brae, Craigie, Blairgowrie.  If so, he was born on 6th October, 1894 and left Blairgowrie High School on 1st April 1910. He is mentioned on the Roll of Honour at Rattray Church.

Rattray, Blairgowrie, Sergt., 6th Black Watch was drowned, 17th April, 1917, in the English Channel, testate.  Confirmation granted in Perth, 10th December, to Ann M'Gilchrist Alexander, Parkhill Road, Rattray aforesaid, Executrix nominated and Will or Deed, dated 2nd May 1915,and recorded in court books of Commissiariot of Perth, 16th November 1917.  Value of estate, £107/2s.
