"Alyth - On Wednesday Mr. Smith, David Street, Alyth, was notified that Sapper William Galloway, Royal Engineers, who was formally a painter with Mr. Stewart, Alyth, and who left for the Front two months ago, was in hospital seriously wounded on the head. The nurse who wrote held out little hope of recovery. Galloway's parents are in Canada."
