His father, Peter, was killed in the First World War. He doesn't appear to have come from this area. it's possible that he is on the CWGC site as being a Private in the Black Watch, and dying on 25th September, 1915.
Peter Junior was the fourth son, two brothers were also in the services. He married Pauline in 1939.
He had been a regular soldier in the Royal Scots for some 12 years, prior to working in England as a plasterer. He was recalled to the regiment at the start of the war.
