“Blackwater Soldier Killed”
Mrs James Taylor, Craigton Cottage, Blackwater, has received intimation that her brother, Private A. Pringle, 1/5th Royal Scots, was killed in action at the Dardenelles on 28th June. Deceased, who was 26 years of age, was a motor and cycle builder to trade, and served his apprenticeship at Rossleigh Ltd., Edinburgh . He was employed as a chauffeur with Mr. Younger, Mount Melville , St. Andrews , when the War broke out. He left for the Front on 11th March.
